«Jimmy's Hall» is the 2014 movie by Ken Loach, starring Barry Ward, Simone Kirby and Andrew Scott, on DVD.
Set in rural Ireland in the 1930s, the film follows Jimmy Gralton, who returns from the United States to reopen the dance hall that the church and politicians had forced to close. The place brings young people together again, but that symbol of freedom reignites the clash with conservatives.
The DVD includes audio in English and Spanish in Dolby Digital 5.1, with subtitles in Spanish and Catalan, and a running time of 106 minutes. Not recommended for children under 12.
For fans of the cinema of Ken Loach and Paul Laverty, responsible for 'The Wind That Shakes the Barley'.
