«La Criatura» is the Spanish drama movie by Eloy de la Iglesia (1977), starring Ana Belén, Juan Diego and Claudia Gravy, on DVD.
A woman suffers a premature birth after a fright and loses her baby. To help her cope with the loss, her husband takes her to the beach, where they find a dog that reminds her of the one that scared her. She ends up growing fond of the animal, which becomes her reason to go on and a mirror of a marriage that is falling apart.
