«La Librería» is the movie by Isabel Coixet (2017), starring Emily Mortimer, Bill Nighy and Patricia Clarkson, on DVD.
In the late 1950s, Florence Green leaves London and opens a bookshop in a small town on the English coast. Her determination clashes with the closed-mindedness of the community, which reacts with hostility, in a story that champions the power of literature and the fight for just causes.
The movie won 3 Goya Awards and is based on the novel of the same name by Penelope Fitzgerald; includes English audio, dubbing and subtitles in Spanish and Catalan, 115 min and region 2.
For those who enjoy period dramas and stories about the value of books and the defense of just causes.
