A German industrialist named Oskar Schindler sets up a factory in Poland during World War II. Initially motivated by profit, Schindler soon becomes concerned for his Jewish workers as he witnesses their persecution by the Nazis. As the war progresses, Schindler dedicates himself to saving as many Jews as he can, creating a list of essential workers who need to be protected. The film is a moving account of courage, sacrifice, and the ability of the human spirit to triumph over darkness.
