In 1940s Italy, a Jewish librarian named Guido is sent to a Nazi concentration camp with his young son. To protect his son's innocence, Guido uses his imagination and humor to convince him that their experience is part of an elaborate game. This moving masterpiece, directed by and starring Roberto Benigni, is a powerful testament to hope and paternal love amidst the tragedy of the Holocaust.
