In a post-apocalyptic future, a lone man named Eli travels across the remnants of what was once the United States. His mission is to protect a sacred book that holds the key to saving humanity, facing constant dangers and a local tyrant who seeks to seize the power of the tome at any cost. This intense action-drama film, directed by the Hughes brothers, offers a raw and fascinating vision of a devastated world. Starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman, the film stands out for its oppressive atmosphere and its narrative focused on survival and faith.
