Synopsis of Les eaux printanières
Ambientada en 1840, esta película narra la historia de Dimitri Sanine, un joven aristócrata ruso que se ve atrapado en un dilema emocional devastador. Durante un viaje, se enamora perdidamente de una joven italiana en Alemania, pero al mismo tiempo se siente atraído por una sofisticada condesa rusa. La incapacidad de elegir entre estas dos pasiones terminará por romper su vida. Dirigida por Jerzy Skolimowski y basada en la novela de Iván Turguénev, la obra es un drama romántico que destaca por su ambientación histórica y las actuaciones de Timothy Hutton, Nastassja Kinski y Valeria Golino. Fue parte de la selección oficial del Festival de Cannes en 1989.
