«Lincoln» is the 2013 movie by Steven Spielberg, starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and David Strathairn, on Blu-ray.
In 1865, with the American Civil War about to end, Abraham Lincoln tries to secure the votes needed to pass an amendment abolishing slavery. The film shows his difficult political negotiations and the dilemma between ending the war as soon as possible or ensuring the amendment before peace arrives.
The Blu-ray edition (region B) runs 150 minutes and includes audio in Spanish, English, French and Russian, with subtitles in 16 languages. The ICAA rates it as not recommended for children under 7.
It will appeal to fans of historical cinema and political dramas about leadership in wartime.
