«Norma» is the DVD recording of Vincenzo Bellini's opera, starring June Anderson, Daniela Barcellona and Shin Young Hoon.
The opera, in two acts, centers on Norma, a druid priestess, and her rivalry with Adalgisa, with the famous aria «Casta Diva» as one of its most notable passages. The staging at the Teatro Regio di Parma reinforces the dramatic tension thanks to the choruses and the principal cast.
Recorded at the Teatro Regio di Parma in 2001, with musical direction by Fabio Biondi. Duration: 163 minutes; libretto by Felice Romani. The DVD includes 2 discs and Spanish subtitles.
For opera enthusiasts who want a DVD recording of a staged production with Spanish subtitles.
