«Odisseia» is the epic miniseries directed by Andrei Konchalovsky (1997), on DVD.
After the fall of Troy, Odysseus, king of Ithaca, sets out for home, but his journey becomes a series of trials: storms, islands inhabited by wondrous creatures, and encounters with magic. The staging, on a grand scale, and the visual effects striking for their time support an adaptation of Homer that seeks to convey the tone of the epic.
Produced by Hallmark Entertainment. Languages: English and Portuguese.
For lovers of epic cinema and classical mythology seeking large-format adaptations.
