«Open Water» is the movie by Chris Kentis (2004), starring Blanchard Ryan, Daniel Travis and Saul Stein, on DVD.
Daniel and Susan, on vacation in the Caribbean to escape stress, join a diving excursion. Due to crew negligence, the couple is left stranded in open water, alone among sharks, and must fight to survive. Based on true events, the film sustains tension from a minimalist approach.
DVD with 16:9 picture, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound in English and 79 minutes runtime. Extras: trailer, interviews and behind-the-scenes trivia. Not recommended for under-13s.
Will appeal to fans of suspense and survival cinema based on true events.
