In July 1976, an Air France flight from Tel Aviv to Paris was hijacked and forced to land at Entebbe Airport, Uganda. Passengers were held hostage to demand an exchange for terrorists imprisoned in Israel, prompting the Israeli government to send an elite commando unit to rescue them. This action-packed film is based on true events, following the story from the flight's takeoff to the hostages' return to Israel. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
