Winner of the Best Actor Award for Michael Gambon at the 2002 BAFTAs, Perfect Strangers is a sumptuous drama written and directed by Stephen Poliakoff. Starring Michael Gambon, Lindsay Duncan, Matthew Macfadyen, Claire Skinner, and Toby Stephens, the story follows Daniel as he attends an extraordinary family reunion. Seduced by the glamour of this new world, he becomes a go-between for his aunt and cousins, only to find that even the most honourable intentions can go disastrously wrong. This intelligent and moving BBC production is filled with rich stories, sudden drama, and sinister secrecy.
