In 2050, Earth is dying and colonizing Mars seems the only hope for humanity. A commander and her crew go on a prospecting mission, but a forced landing leaves them without equipment and turns AMEE, their military robot, into a killing machine. Isolated in a hostile world, they discover that Mars, though arid, is not uninhabited.
