To improve the training of its troops and fight crime more effectively, the Los Angeles police department uses a virtual reality training program. In it, subjects recruited from prison face a computer-generated super-criminal named Sid 6.7, whose psychological profile combines some 180 deviant and pathological personalities. But soon, Sid escapes the program's control and begins to wreak havoc in the real world.
