«Puta» is the 1991 drama movie by Ken Russell, starring Theresa Russell, Benjamin Mouton and Antonio Fargas, on DVD.
Ken Russell narrates the life of Liz, a prostitute who tells her story directly to camera in a tone close to semi-documentary. After leaving her pimp and working independently, she faces the dangers of a marginal neighborhood: brutal clients, her ex-husband and a vagrant who becomes her only support.
The DVD includes 1.33:1 picture, English and Spanish audio in Dolby Digital 2.0, Spanish subtitles and an approximate running time of 85 minutes. Not recommended for persons under 18.
A proposal for adult viewers interested in social dramas and in a raw, unidealized look at prostitution.
