«Richter, L'Insoumis - The Enigma» is Bruno Monsaingeon's documentary about pianist Sviatoslav Richter, released on DVD in 2012 by EuroArts.
In this autobiographical documentary, Sviatoslav Richter breaks his silence and reviews his life before Bruno Monsaingeon's camera: his childhood, his encounters with great musicians, and his career as a concert performer in the Soviet Union. Interviews, archival material, and extracts from his performances complete the portrait of a nonconformist artist.
2-DVD edition with audio in Russian, English, French, and German. FIPA d'Or award in Biarritz 1998 and documentary award at the Banff Festival 1998.
Will appeal to fans of classical music and biographies of great piano performers.
