«Rize» is the documentary about krumping directed by David LaChapelle (2006), released on DVD by Medusa Film Spa.
The documentary delves into krumping, a dance style born on the streets of Los Angeles as a response to violence and marginalization. Through interviews, performance footage, and the stories of several dancers, LaChapelle shows how this dance becomes an escape route and a form of expression for those who practice it.
