«Semilla de maldad» (Tender Son) is the 2010 movie by Kornél Mundruczó, starring Kitty Csíkos, Rudolf Frecska and Lili Monori, on DVD.
Rudi returns home after years at a boarding school and seeks to reconnect with his family and find out who his father is. Almost unwittingly, he takes part in a casting that brings him close to a filmmaker; what seemed like an opportunity turns into a spiral of violence, guilt and redemption, in a story inspired by Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
The movie was in the Official Selection of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. The Cameo edition (2016) runs 105 min, original version in Hungarian, with dubbing and subtitles in Spanish.
For fans of European drama and thriller who appreciate reworkings of the Frankenstein myth.
