«She Shoulda Said 'No'!» is the movie by Sam Newfield (1949), starring Lila Leeds, Alan Baxter and Lyle Talbot, on DVD.
Anne Lester, a young dancer, sees her life fall apart after taking up the use and sale of marijuana: she falls into addiction, crime and exploitation. The film turns her descent into a moralizing and sensationalist warning about the dangers of drugs, an example of the exploitation cinema of the 1940s.
Sam Newfield is credited as Sherman Scott. The Alpha Video edition is in black and white, runs 70 minutes and has English audio; it is also known as Wild Weed.
For fans of classic exploitation cinema and mid-20th-century social warning movies.
