«The Producers» is the 2005 movie by Susan Stroman, starring Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick and Uma Thurman, on DVD.
A veteran Broadway producer, down on his luck, and his timid accountant plot a fraud: to produce the worst possible musical, trusting that total failure will bring them money. The movie parodies the theater business with musical numbers, witty dialogue and satire taken to the extreme.
Movie adapted from the Broadway musical of the same name; the DVD, released on December 25, 2005, has English audio.
For those seeking a satirical musical comedy and who enjoy humor about the world of theater.
