Young and proud pilot Charlie Halliday suffers a plane crash in the desolate Arctic wilderness. Trapped in a life-or-death situation, Charlie must fight against nature to save his own life and that of his accidental young companion, an Inuit woman who does not speak his language. As the hours pass, she helps him shed his prejudices and teaches him how to adapt to their new environment.
