Tom Horn, legendary scout and gunslinger, arrives in Hagerville (Wyoming) when the Wild West is already history. His fame for having captured Geronimo and worked for the Pinkerton agency leads some ranchers to hire him to deal with cattle rustlers. His efficiency arouses the sheriff's jealousy, and the death of a boy complicates things.
