«Un Americano a Roma» is Steno's 1954 comedy starring Alberto Sordi, on DVD.
Fernando Moriconi is a young Roman fascinated by American culture who imitates his idols with absurd results. To get attention, he goes so far as to threaten to jump from the Colosseum if he isn't given a ticket to the United States. The film satirizes the post-war Italian craze for all things American and the clash between the American dream and everyday reality.
The cover confirms the original title «Un americano a Roma», the 85-minute runtime and Italian subtitles. The edition features audio in Italian Dolby Digital 1.0 and 5.1.
For fans of classic Italian comedy and of Alberto Sordi in his early leading roles.
