«Un lugar en la cumbre» is the movie by Jack Clayton, starring Laurence Harvey, Simone Signoret and Heather Sears, on DVD.
Joe Lampton, an ambitious young accountant, arrives in a town in northern England determined to climb the social ladder. His courtship of Susan, daughter of the town's most influential man, clashes with the attraction he feels for Alice, a married and disillusioned woman, in a drama about desire and the price of ambition in postwar England.
The movie runs 117 minutes. The disc includes the short film «The Bespoke Overcoat», also by Jack Clayton, winner of an Oscar and the Golden Lion for Best Short Film.
For fans of postwar British cinema and dramas of social ambition.
