«Une histoire vraie» is the movie by David Lynch (1999), starring Richard Farnsworth, Sissy Spacek and Harry Dean Stanton, on DVD.
Based on a true story, it follows Alvin Straight, a 73-year-old man who travels hundreds of miles on his lawnmower to reconcile with his brother Lyle, with whom he had not spoken for a decade, after Lyle's heart attack. A humanist road movie about old age and forgiveness, far from David Lynch's usual surrealist register.

For lovers of road movies and dramas based on true events, and for David Lynch fans who want to see his serene side.
