«Unearth» is the psychological horror movie by Dorota Swies and John C. Lyons (2020), starring Adrienne Barbeau, Marc Blucas and Allison McAtee, on DVD.
Unearth is a psychological horror thriller that follows two neighboring farming families whose coexistence breaks down when one of them leases its land to a gas and oil company for fracking. During the drilling, something terrifying that had long lain dormant beneath the surface is released, and the consequences of that decision also affect the children of both families. The film combines environmental horror, tension between neighbors and a social backdrop about the repercussions of acting without thinking of the future.
Feature film of 90 minutes, in color, with 2.35:1 widescreen format and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound in English and French. Limited edition on DVD with subtitles.
Aimed at those seeking independent horror cinema with social awareness, far from conventional supernatural horror.
