Synopsis of Volaverunt
Volaverunt es una película española de 1999 dirigida por Bigas Luna, basada en la novela histórica de Antonio Larreta. La trama se desarrolla en la corte del rey Carlos IV en el siglo XIX, donde la duquesa de Alba, interpretada por Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, comparte un carruaje con el artista Francisco de Goya, el primer ministro Manuel de Godoy y Pepita Tudo, interpretada por Penélope Cruz. Goya y Godoy quedan cautivados por la belleza y el espíritu libre de la duquesa, mientras que el primer ministro se siente atraído por Pepita, invitándola a la corte real en Madrid, donde se convierte en su amante y musa de Goya.
