This DVD edition features an exceptional recording of the cantatas by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, performed by the Bachchor Mainz and the ensemble L'arpa festante, under the direction of Ralf Otto. This release is notable for being the first recording of these rediscovered cantatas, commemorating the 300th anniversary of the composer's birth (1710-1784).
Produced by Accentus Music, it offers a masterful performance of Baroque classical music, featuring renowned soloists such as Mields, Romberger, Poplutz, and Mertens. It is an essential piece for lovers of choral and orchestral music looking to explore the lesser-known legacy of the Bach family in high-fidelity audiovisual quality.
