«12 Concerti Grossi» is the baroque music album composed by Francesco Geminiani and performed by I Musici, released in 2001 by Philips as a double CD.
The album brings together the twelve concerti grossi that Francesco Geminiani composed from Corelli's violin and continuo sonatas (Op. 5), performed by I Musici with Michelucci, Gallozzi, Bennici, Centurione and Garatti. Each concerto combines slow and fast movements, with dances such as the gavotte or the gigue; the last closes with «La Folìa».
It belongs to the Philips Classics Duo series, on two digitally remastered CDs, with a total duration of 2 h 3 min 47 s.
For fans of baroque music and chamber ensembles; it can also serve as an introduction to concerti grossi.
