«6 Concerti Armonici» is the baroque music album by I Musici, released by Philips Classics on CD.
The disc brings together the six Concerti armonici, works long attributed to Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Carlo Ricciotti and now credited to Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer. I Musici performs them with the ensemble's characteristic balanced sound, in a recording made in Switzerland in 1979 that combines slow and fast movements in the baroque style.
The cover credits Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer (1692-1766) and the earlier attribution to Pergolesi and Ricciotti. The CD has catalog number 420 789-2 and was recorded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in August 1979.
Recommended for those seeking a classic version of these baroque concertos on CD, whether out of interest in the repertoire or in the history of their attribution.
