«7 Concerti con flauto» is the baroque music album by Alessandro Scarlatti, released in 2000 by cpo on CD and performed by the Camerata Köln.
The disc brings together seven baroque concertos with flute as solo instrument, a format that allows Scarlatti to explore the contrast between the melodic line and the string ensemble. The Camerata Köln, a chamber group, delivers a clear and balanced reading, with a continuo that supports the dialogue between the flute and the rest of the instruments.
Edition on one CD with catalogue number 999 619-2 from the label cpo (Classic Produktion Osnabrück). The cover includes a baroque painting and the credit DeutschlandRadio.
For listeners interested in baroque music and chamber ensembles with solo instrument.
