«Acoustic» is the unofficial R.E.M. compilation, released in 1994 by The Swingin' Pig as a double CD.
The double CD brings together a selection of R.E.M. tracks performed in acoustic format, with stripped-down arrangements that let Michael Stipe's voice and the instrumentation breathe. Against the group's usual electric sound, these recordings offer a more intimate and organic reading of their alternative rock repertoire.
Catalogue number TSP-CD-161-2; boxed edition with two CDs, published by The Swingin' Pig and unofficial in nature.
For R.E.M. collectors and alternative rock fans who want to discover a more acoustic and intimate side of the group.
