«African Nights», subtitled African Electronics, is a various-artists compilation compiled by DJ Salut, released in 2003 by Boutique on CD.
A selection of electronic music with African roots that moves through house, broken beat and downtempo, incorporating echoes of hip hop and folk and oral-tradition music. The set connects danceable tracks with enveloping yet atmospheric textures, with the African continent as a sonic reference.
The edition, manufactured in Germany by Universal M & L, consists of a single CD.
For fans of dance electronics, broken beat and world sounds.
