«Amour» is the album with the original Broadway recording of Michel Legrand's musical, released in 2003 by Ghostlight, on CD.
The musical tells a love story in a dreamy post-war Paris, with a sweet, almost abstract tone, in the tradition of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. It is a work almost entirely sung, in which Michel Legrand's songs sustain the narrative.
Original Broadway recording in English, with Malcolm Gets and Melissa Errico in the cast. It is a single 74-minute CD; the production premiered in 2002 and the recording was made months later.
For fans of Broadway musicals, original cast recordings, and Michel Legrand's soundtracks.
