«An American Prayer» is the album by Jim Morrison & The Doors, released in 1995 by Elektra (Warner), on CD.
The album is based on recordings of Jim Morrison reciting his poems, to which the rest of The Doors added music after his death. It alternates recitations, reflections and sonic passages, with pieces such as «Babylon Fading», «Bird of Prey» and «The Ghost Song»; an approach to the group's more literary and experimental side.
Edition with 1 disc and 48 minutes of duration; recordings in English.
Aimed at The Doors fans and at those who want to discover the poetic and experimental facet of Jim Morrison.
