«Away From The Sea» is the album by Yuksek, released in 2009 by Barclay, on CD.
First album from the producer and DJ from Reims, it defines his sound as dancefloor electro with nods to pop: catchy melodies over techno foundations, hip-hop heritage breaks and acid rises. Collaborators include Amanda Blank, Shit Disco, Chroméo and The Bewitched Hands, balancing danceable moments with careful composition.
Single disc. The «Tonight» EP anticipated the album's release.
For listeners of French electronic music and club sounds, in the wake of Daft Punk and Vitalic.
