«Babes in the Wood» is the Irish folk album by Mary Black, released on CD by Dara Records in 1991.
The album brings together twelve songs of a folk and soft rock nature with the distinctive voice of the Irish singer. It includes tracks by songwriters such as Noel Brazil, Thom Moore and Jimmy MacCarthy, among them «Bright Blue Rose», «The Thorn Upon the Rose» and the title track. Recorded in Dublin between March and June 1991, it was produced by Declan Sinnott.
The CD edition adds two extra tracks not on the vinyl: «Just Around the Corner» and «The Urge for Going». The album was originally released in 1991 within Mary Black's discography.
