«Bach: J.S.: Violin Concertos» is the compilation by Gidon Kremer and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, released in 2011 by Decca on CD.
The disc brings together Johann Sebastian Bach's violin concertos performed by Gidon Kremer and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields: the Concerto in A minor, the Concerto in E major and the Double Concerto in D minor, a Baroque peak for the dialogue between the two violins. Completing the program is the Oboe Concerto in D major, with Heinz Holliger.
It is part of the Virtuoso series from Decca and Deutsche Grammophon, with a total running time of 59 minutes and 30 seconds. In the Oboe Concerto, Heinz Holliger performs with the Camerata Bern.
A way to approach Baroque concertos and expand a classical music collection, designed to discover recordings from the Virtuoso series.
