«Baroque Treasuries 8: Bach Violin Concertos» is the compilation of violin concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, released in 1990 by Delta, on CD.
It brings together Johann Sebastian Bach's violin concertos with the German Bach Soloists conducted by Helmut Winschermann and soloists such as Christian Altenburger. The version adopts the Baroque approach of integrating the solo violin into the ensemble, with modern instruments.
US edition on CD of one disc, with DDD digital recording, within the Baroque Treasuries series from LaserLight Digital; catalogue number 15 663.
For Baroque music listeners seeking a version with the solo violin integrated into the orchestra, rather than a Romantic approach.
