«Les Quatuors, tome I: n.º 1 op. 7 / n.º 2 op. 17» is the album by Béla Bartók performed by the Quatuor Végh, released by Astrée Auvidis on CD.
The disc contains the first two string quartets by Béla Bartók in the Quatuor Végh's reading. Quartet No. 1, Op. 7, and Quartet No. 2, Op. 17, are central works of twentieth-century chamber music, marked by constant expressive tension and a dense sonic texture that sets them apart from the Romantic quartet.
Volume I of the «Les Quatuors» series by the Quatuor Végh, with both works on a single CD; French edition released by Astrée Auvidis.
For classical music listeners interested in chamber repertoire and historical recordings by the Quatuor Végh.
