«Bayanga» is the self-titled album by Bayanga, released in 2003 on Ras, on CD.
The debut album of a Puerto Rican band that fuses classic salsa with contemporary sounds, worldbeat and rock. Their danceable, nuanced proposal caught attention at the 2001 Sierra Nevada Reggae Festival and convinced veteran producer Doctor Dread to record their first studio session, with highly complex arrangements.
The recording, released in 2003, came out as a single CD and had editions in the United States and Europe.
For fans of reggae and Latin fusion who enjoy danceable rhythms and elaborate arrangements.
