«Beethoven: Symphonies 5 & 7» is the Beethoven album with the Vienna Philharmonic conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler, on CD (EMI Classics, 2001).
The CD brings together two Beethoven symphonies: the Fifth in C minor, Op. 67, and the Seventh in A major, Op. 92, performed by the Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of Wilhelm Furtwängler. From the Fifth, its well-known opening Allegro con brio stands out; from the Seventh, the famous Allegretto, a much-remembered movement of the symphonic repertoire.
