«Best of Ska CD2» is the second volume of the ska compilation «Best of Ska», released by Disky Communications Europe B.V. on CD.
This installment brings together 18 original tracks of Jamaican and British ska, with cuts from Madness, The Specials, Desmond Dekker, Lee Perry, Rico, The Selecter and The Pioneers, among others. The «skanking» style and rhythms of the late sixties and early seventies lead a selection designed for those wanting to discover the classic sound through essential names of the genre.
The CD is part of a three-disc set with 54 original tracks; this second volume includes artists such as The Paragons, Special A.K.A., The Ethiopians and Tony Tribe. The lot, released in 2001 in Europe by Disky, includes tracks from labels Trojan, Island, EMI and others.
It will appeal to collectors of classic ska and reggae and to those wanting to get into the original Jamaican and British sound.
