«Blue Bell Knoll» is the album by Cocteau Twins, released in 1988 by EMD/Capitol on CD.
Blue Bell Knoll showcases the most ethereal side of Cocteau Twins: layered guitars, nebulous atmospheres and Elizabeth Fraser's characteristic voice. Tracks like «Carolyn's Fingers» and «For Phoebe Still A Baby» synthesize their hypnotic dream pop and enveloping soundscapes.
Originally released on September 27, 1988; it falls within pop rock, indie and dream pop.
For listeners of dream pop, ethereal and shoegaze who want a reference point of eighties alternative rock.
