«Bolero / Daphnis et Chloé» is the compilation by Maurice Ravel with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, released in 1998 by Supraphon on CD.
Recorded by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Libor Pešek, it brings together «Boléro», a choreographic poem with an insistent rhythm and progressive crescendo, and the two suites of «Daphnis et Chloé», in which the chorus and orchestra evoke pastoral atmospheres and dances.
Chorus: Kühn Mixed Chorus, with Pavel Kühn as chorus master. Recorded at the Supraphon studio in Prague: Daphnis et Chloé in November 1983 and Boléro in February 1985.
For classical music listeners interested in French orchestral repertoire and Czech versions of Ravel.
