«Borodin: Symphony No. 2 / Rimsky-Korsakov», compilation by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Neeme Järvi, on CD (2001, Deutsche Grammophon).
The album brings together two works from the Russian symphonic repertoire: Borodin's Symphony No. 2, with its famous Notturno, and Rimsky-Korsakov's Symphony No. 2 «Antar», inspired by an oriental tale. The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Neeme Järvi, highlights the orchestral color and melodic breadth of both scores.
A single CD with DDD digital recording, European edition from Deutsche Grammophon, catalog number 445 568-2.
For classical music listeners interested in the Russian symphonic repertoire and in Neeme Järvi's performances with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
