«Brahms Orchesterwerke» is the album by the London Symphony Orchestra with Geoffrey Simon and James Campbell, released in 2012 by Cala (in-akustik) on CD.
The CD brings together two Brahms works in other composers' orchestrations: the Piano Quartet in G minor, Op. 25, in Arnold Schoenberg's symphonic version, and Op. 120 No. 1 for clarinet and orchestra, orchestrated by Luciano Berio in its world premiere recording, with James Campbell as soloist.
The original recording dates from 1992 for Cala Records; this 2012 edition is released by Cala (in-akustik) and includes a single disc, with catalogue number CACD1006.
For classical music enthusiasts, especially those interested in orchestral versions of Brahms by Schoenberg and Berio.
