«Brahms: String Quartets & Piano Quintet» is the chamber music album by Johannes Brahms with Piers Lane and the New Budapest String Quartet, on double CD.
The album brings together Brahms's three string quartets —Op. 51 No. 1 in C minor, Op. 51 No. 2 in A minor and Op. 67 in B flat major— along with the Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34. Piers Lane on piano and the New Budapest String Quartet perform these works in a recording of over two hours that traverses Brahms's Romantic chamber music.
Published by Hyperion Records in 1997 as part of its Dyad series, with catalogue number CDD22018; the recording, made in 1992, has a total duration of 144'57.
