«Brubeck & Rushing» is the jazz album by the Dave Brubeck Quartet with Jimmy Rushing, released in 1998 by Sony Legacy on CD.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet and vocalist Jimmy Rushing, known as 'Mr. Five by Five', come together in a session that blends Brubeck's cool jazz with the blues and swing of his voice. Tracks like 'Ain't Misbehavin'' and 'All by Myself' showcase the dialogue between the quartet and the singer, and 'Evenin'' is another standout moment.
Remastered reissue of the original 1960 recordings, released by Columbia/Legacy in October 1998; total running time of 36 minutes.
For fans of collaborations between cool jazz and blues, and for followers of the Dave Brubeck Quartet and Jimmy Rushing.
